A vertical mouse promotes a more natural hand position that’s less strenuous on the wrist and forearm, making it a popular productivity mouse design. Because of this, they usually come in boring, office-oriented designs, which can be a problem if you like your peripherals in bright and blinking colors. Well, that won’t be the case anymore with the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition.
That’s right, Razer is making a vertical mouse and it’s every bit as productivity-focused as other mice with a similar form factor. Except, this one comes with the same programmable LEDs found in the outfit’s gaming mouse peripherals, allowing you to enjoy a fancy light show while doing all your productivity chores.
The Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition has a sharp 71.7 degree angle that puts your hand in a natural handshake position, making it ideal for extended computing sessions. There’s a large groove on one side for resting your thumb, as well as an extended base on the other that subtly lifts your wrist to reduce strain. The elevated base also helps minimize any friction on the wrist when you move the mouse around on the pad, making it overall comfortable in more ways than one.
Instead of embracing a styling more comparable to traditional office peripherals like the outfit’s Productivity Suite from four years ago, this one comes with Razer’s all-too-familiar gamer aesthetics. That means, it’s decked in an all-black finish, as well as a full set of Razer Chroma lighting at the bottom. Specifically, it comes with 18 zones of underglow RGB lighting that can be programmed to glow in any of 16.8 million colors. The lights are all programmable from the companion desktop software, where you also get access to tons of presets and syncing options.
The Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition has a mechanical switch that’s rated for 60 million clicks, as well as eight programmable buttons for streamlining your workflows. You can even assign different button mappings for each individual app, which can be really handy for certain types of users. Do note, the onboard memory can only save one profile, so you’ll have to store other custom settings on the computer instead. The mouse uses the outfit’s Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, which has a maximum sensitivity of 30,000 DPI, along with a top speed of 550 inches per second and a maximum acceleration of 40G, so it should be as capable as other mouse peripherals in the outfit’s lineup.

It’s a wireless mouse, by the way, with Bluetooth connectivity for up to three devices for quick-switching between machines, although it also comes with a 2.4GHz dongle if you prefer a proprietary wireless connection. There’s support for wired use, as well, via the USB-C slot. It has a built-in battery rated at up to six months of use between charges, all while charging fast enough to get you three days’ worth of use in just five minutes of plugging in.
