Nothing Headphones (a) Comes with a Whopping Five Non-Stop Days of Battery Life

Most wireless headphones can last a full day of use. Some can go as far as double that. The Nothing Headphones (a), though, takes battery life a whole lot further by allowing you to use your headphones for over five days between charges.

That’s right, these headphones can last a full five days of nonstop playback with extra juice to spare, so it should easily last well more than a week on moderate use. If you’re hoping to cut down on the amount of devices you have to plug in regularly, then you’ll definitely be interested in picking this one up.

The Nothing Headphones (a) is a mid-range pair of wireless headphones, sporting the same unusual retro-futuristic styling as the outfit’s flagship cans. It’s equipped with 40mm titanium-coated diaphragm drivers that, the outfit claims, can deliver “expressive highs and deep bass” at volumes up to 110dB. According to the outfit, it supports high-quality wireless audio via the LDAC codec, which enables scalable bitrates up to 990 kbps and sample rates of up to 24-bit/96kHz. Of course, the big selling point is the battery life, as this thing can be used continuously for 135 hours. That’s right, five days and change, which means most people will likely only have to recharge once a week or so (unless you use your headphones pretty excessively).

Do note, the claimed battery life only holds up if you don’t the Active Noise Cancellation. That goes down to 75 hours with ANC running, effectively cutting the battery life to just over half. In case you run out of charge while out and about, plugging in for five minutes is supposedly enough to get you five extra hours of playback, which sounds very convenient, since you’ll have to plug in for a very brief period.

The Nothing Headphones (a) uses a dynamic ANC system that claims to remove 40dB of noise across three frequencies, with built-in presets for adjusting how much noise cancellation you want it to do. It uses a hybrid feedforward and feedback mic system, along with AI processing, to adjust noise cancellation in real-time based on fit and ambient sounds, so you don’t even have to worry about fiddling with the settings and just let it run on its own. For phone calls, it uses a three-microphone system that gets filtered through an AI-based noise reduction algorithm to isolate your voice when you’re talking in noisy environments.

If you hate touch controls on modern headphones, you’ll love the tactile controls here, which include a button, a roller, and a paddle all built directly into the ear cups. That means, you can adjust volume, control playback, and switch ANC modes without having to do those annoying taps and swipes that many modern wireless headphones require. Other features include IP52 water resistance rating, remote camera shutter support (you can use the button as a camera shutter for your phone), memory foam cushions, and a companion app (iOS and Android). The app, by the way, comes with an eight-band EQ, custom EQ sharing using QR codes, and a bass enhancement algorithm.
