Cleaning dirty bathrooms, oily kitchen counters, and all sorts of burnt-up gunk in the countertop oven is no walk in the park, requiring seemingly endless scrubbing that can leave you utterly exhausted. Not to mention, you probably spend a good portion of that time getting down on your hands and knees, while trying to reach inside tight nooks and crannies. The worst part? It doesn’t take that long before everything gets dirty again, making the whole thing feel like a never-ending chore. Fortunately, there are electric spin scrubbers that can make those cleaning tasks a whole lot easier.
The best electric spin scrubbers supercharge your cleaning chores by eliminating much of the manual work involved in the task, similar to the way electric pressure washers let you quickly wash off mud from the garden walkway. No need to tire out your arms and shoulders by repeatedly scrubbing dirty surfaces back and forth, as these powered scrubbers use electric motors to get their cleaning bristles spinning. It not just spares you from the arduous work, it also saves you a whole load of time, allowing you to finish your cleaning chores much sooner than it would otherwise take.
The best electric spin scrubbers can come in a variety of designs and features. There are some with extendable handles, some with a pistol grip similar to power drills, and some with a top handle, each one bringing their own upsides and downsides. Many electric spin scrubbers come with different types of brush attachments, giving you access to soft bristles and hard bristles alike at a variety of sizes and shapes, allowing you to choose the exact one you need for every job. The more brush attachments are available for a spin scrubber, the more flexibility it brings to your cleaning arsenal. Battery life will vary among different scrubbers, too. Generally, you want an electric scrubber that can give you, at least, 30 minutes of continuous operation, giving you enough time to do most cleaning tasks without needing a recharge.
These are the best electric spin scrubbers to make plenty of home cleaning tasks a whole lot easier.
Black + Decker PKS160 Power Scrubber
Pros
- Lightweight and stable in hand
- Very effective at cleaning
- Cleans grout lines easily
Cons
- No additional attachments included
- Scrubbing pad wears out quickly
Extendable: No
Attachments: None (requires separate purchase)
Power source: four AA batteries
Our favorite part of this electric spin scrubber is the angled handle, which makes it very easy to hold in hand, whether you’re scrubbing wall tiles, stovetops, or grout lines on the floor. It’s a very ergonomic design that makes it such a pleasant tool to use, especially with its light weight and stable spinning action. While it doesn’t seem as powerful as some other scrubbers in the list, we’re surprised at how effective it is at cleaning. Simply put, it’s strong enough to clean thoroughly without splashing liquids all over the place, which we appreciate. It only comes with a scrubbing pad, which is attached to the head using Velcro, so it’s easy to replace once you use it up. The scrubbing pad doesn’t seem that hardwearing, by the way, so you’ll definitely want to stock up on replacements (you can find compatible ones from both B+D and other brands). There’s also an optional brush attachment, which we recommend you get, since this doesn’t come with one. Overall, though, the ergonomic handle and the well-made motor make this an excellent affordable option.
Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber
Pros
- Comfortable rubber handle
- Plenty of attachments and refills
- Small enough for detailed cleaning work
Cons
- A bit too small for bigger jobs
Extendable: No
Attachments: 6 attachments, 12 refills
Power source: four AA batteries
With a design that looks like an oversized toothbrush, this electric spin scrubber offers a familiar form factor you’ve probably used to do detailed cleaning in the sink or shower at one point or another. It’s, basically, a supercharged toothbrush, since it comes with six swappable attachments, namely a scrubber, a grout brush, an XL head, a large head, a soft bristle brush, and a Velcro head for attaching all sorts of third-party accessories, allowing you to use whatever cleaning heads are more suited to each individual task, from the toughest and the gentlest to everything in between. We love the comfortable rubber handle and the lightweight build, the powerful oscillating head (it does 60 rotations per second), and the easy head-swapping mechanism. It does feel a bit on the smaller side, though, so cleaning can take quite a bit of time, but we do appreciate being able to use it for cleaning around tighter areas that require more detailed cleaning.
Klever Handheld Power Scrubber
Pros
- Comes with eight different brush heads
- Ergonomic angled grip
- 90-minute runtime for rechargeable battery
- Excellent dome brushes
Cons
- USB-C port cover is not attached
Extendable: No
Attachments: 8
Power source: Rechargeable battery
This electric spin scrubber has an angled grip similar to the Black + Decker above, making it very comfortable to hold during cleaning jobs while allowing for excellent control. It comes with eight brush attachments, four with soft bristles and four with hard bristles, including dome brushes for covering large areas (perfect for tiles and tubs), straight brushes (for windows), flat brushes (for grills and stoves), and corner brushes (for tight crevices), so you can swap to the best brush for each task. The brushes feel very hardwearing, too, with zero fraying after running them some thorough cleaning tests, with the dome brushes being particularly bigger than the ones on the Rubbermaid above, allowing them to clean through large surfaces just that much faster. We love the ease by which you can swap the different attachments, the gentle but effective 200 RPM speed, and the rechargeable battery that’s rated for an hour and a half of runtime between charges. Do note, the cover for the USB-C slot isn’t attached, so you’ll want to make sure you don’t lose it when charging (you don’t want water getting in the port).
IEZFix Electric Spin Scrubber
Pros
- Three brush types included
- Great at tough cleaning tasks
- Powerful motor
Cons
- Lots of splatter
Extendable: No
Attachments: 4
Power source: Rechargeable battery
Among all the electric spins scrubbers in the list, this one looked the most like a regular bathroom brush. Seriously, we thought it was just a manual brush until we noticed the button under the grip. It comes with three brush attachments, all of them designed with tough dirt and grime in mind, complete with a pretty powerful motor that puts all those hard bristles to good use (and, unfortunately, creates a lot of splatter). Sadly, it doesn’t include any soft bristle attachments, so it might not be suited for tasks that require a gentler touch, although it does include a polishing pad, which will come in handy after scrubbing through dirty ovens and stovetops. The brushes did show some amount of wear after some really heavy testing, but they’re definitely durable enough to last for a good, long time before needing a replacement. Plus, we appreciate the longer 90-minute battery life, which really lets you finish most any cleaning job before needing a recharge.
Leebein Electric Spin Scrubber
Pros
- Extendable handle length
- Cleaning head can lock at four angles
- Great for hard-to-reach areas
Cons
- Harder to control with the handle extended
Extendable: Yes
Attachments: 8
Power source: Rechargeable battery
Sporting a handle that can extend from 12 to 54 inches, this electric spin scrubber allows you to reach into more difficult areas, making it ideal for cleaning behind bathtubs and toilets, especially since the cleaning head can lack at any of four angles for maximum flexibility. It allows you to put some distance between yourself and the brush heads, so you can clean without getting in the way of messy splatters. The set includes eight attachments, including four different brushes and four different scrubbing pads, making it suitable for a wide variety of cleaning tasks, from your bathroom and your kitchen, all the way to your car. We also like the two speed settings (350 RPM and 450 RPM), allowing you to go a little gentler or a little harder, based on what the job requires, as well as the 90-minute battery life (if you run it purely at 350 RPM).
Dremel Versa Power Scrubber Kit
Pros
- Powerful 2200 RPM scrubbing action
- Compact size
- Comes with multiple attachments
- Comes with attachable splash guard
Cons
- Lots of splatter
- Sub-30 minute battery life
Extendable: No
Attachments: 5
Power source: Rechargeable battery
Dremel offers different packages with different attachments for their electric spin scrubber. We opted for the one that includes one brush and three different scrubbing pads, although you can opt for a package with five types of scrubbing pads but no brush. Unlike other options in the list, this one puts the handle right on top of the scrubbing surface, so you’re basically pushing down on it the whole time you’re cleaning. We like the compact form factor this creates, although we do see how it can be challenging when cleaning around tighter areas. This has a very powerful motor (2200 RPM) that scrubs off tough grime faster than other scrubbers we’ve tried, although it also means this one came with a lot more splatter. Fortunately, it comes with a splash guard attachment to help keep that at bay. Unfortunately, the splash guard doesn’t work seamlessly, so you’ll still have some mess, especially if you’re cleaning with the scrubbing surface turned up (e.g. the interior top side of an oven). Because of its size and the powerful motor onboard, battery life isn’t long, lasting around 25 minutes of continuous operation before requiring a recharge.
