It looks like one of those wallet cases. You know… those metal or plastic rigs with an open slot for holding all your cards. Except, the New Things Lab Memo Whiteboard Wallet can do quite a bit more than just carrying your cards, as it comes with a mini-whiteboard that you can write on and erase over and over.
Billed as a “distraction free notebook and wallet,” the accessory combines a card holder walllet and a mini whiteboard notebook in a compact bundle that fits in most pockets. Even better, it’s not that much bigger than most slim wallets, allowing you to get a handy notebook without adding all that much bulk to your everyday carry.

The New Things Lab Memo Whiteboard Wallet can hold up to six cards, so there’s enough room here to take when you normally carry for the day. It’s RFID-blocking, so it contains the necessary protective shield to keep your cards safe from digital theft by skimmers, while coming with a rugged 6063 aluminum housing, so your cards won’t be damaged even if you stick it in the middle of a densely packed luggage. There’s no mechanical system for taking the cards out, though. Instead, there’s a thumb hole on each side that you can use to slide up a card whenever you need it, with each side having room to hold up to three cards.
According to the outfit, the wallet slots have wear-resistant rubber elements designed to grab a secure hold of its contents, ensuring any cards, cash, or receipts you put inside won’t accidentally fall out while going about your day. When folded, by the way, it’s small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, allowing you to easily take it as part of your EDC kit.

The New Things Lab Memo Whiteboard Wallet is, of course, not just a simple wallet. Instead, it’s hinged in the middle, allowing you to open it like a folio. When spread open, it reveals a whiteboard surface that measures six inches diagonally, which you can use to jot down thoughts, ideas, and all sorts of notes you want written down. It’s a fairly standard whiteboard, too, so you can simply write on it using any marker and wipe it away with a cloth to clean. When closing it, by the way, the two sides of whiteboard surfaces never touch, ensuring it never gets accidentally smudged at any point.

It comes with own marker pen, which is stored in an integrated slot at the wider end of the interior. The pen has a fine point (0.8mm tip), so you can write in small text and lines, making it ideal for a writing surface of this compact size. The pen has a built-in eraser, too, so you don’t have to bring anything extra to wipe it clean to start anew. Do note, the eraser is on the small side, so if you have tissues nearby, it might go a lot faster. And yes, the pen is available separately, so you can buy it in packs, with each pen estimated to last around 18 to 24 months of average use.
The New Things Lab Memo Whiteboard Wallet is available now, priced at $89.
