Chances are, you know about Crazy Creek for their unusual line of outdoor ground chairs that are designed for easily taking in your outdoor adventures. While we prefer something with a little more elevation like a standard camp chair or beach chair, we do know plenty of folks who like their chairs’ extremely packable sizes. The Crazy Creek Paddle Chair brings that same functional design to your watersports pursuits.
Designed to be used with paddleboards, rafts, and other watercrafts with no integrated seating, the inflatable chair gives you a cushioned seat to plop down on and a back rest to let you lean back comfortably. It works much like the outfit’s ground-level outdoor chairs, albeit with a build that’s designed for use in and around the water.
The Crazy Creek Paddle Chair takes on the same ground-level design as the outfit’s standard chair lineup. That means, you simply set it down on the deck of your paddleboard, the floor of your raft, or even on top of the cooler you’re carrying on your fishing kayak. It’s self-inflating, so you don’t need to carry a separate air pump to use it at any time, while extremely durable carbon-reinforced fiberglass support stays give it the needed structure to support all your weight.
Deploying it is as simple as the standard Crazy Creek chairs, too, requiring you to simply unbuckle the chair from its collapsed form, allow it to inflate to your desired cushion, and lay it flat on your watercraft. Do note, self-inflating can take up to three minutes, depending on how soft or firm you want the air cushioning to be, so you have to give it a bit of time to get into shape. If you want it to inflate faster, by the way, you can opt to blow into the valve instead of simply letting it collect air on its own. It collapses into a very portable size, as well, folding into a bundle that you can easily strap securely to your pack. Again, be sure to open the air valve and let all the air out before folding to get the most optimal packed-down size.
The Crazy Creek Paddle Chair is designed to stay in place when set down, much like the outfit’s standard outdoor ground chairs. However, it does come with buckled straps that you can use to more securely mount it onto any tie-down straps or attachment points available on the watercraft. The chair is clad in a 600D ripstop polyester exterior, with the seat and backrest are connected by a rubber and nylon hinge, ensuring this will deliver excellent durability for all kinds of water adventures.

When deployed, the chair measures 16.5 x 16.5 x 16.5 inches (height x width x depth), all while supporting users up to 250 pounds. That’s right, those fiberglass support stays can handle some serious weight. Other features include drain holes in the bend to eliminate water puddles, a TPU coating for water resistance, and a light weight of just 42 ounces. While designed for the water, the chair should be functional as standard outdoor ground seating, too, so you can use it in the campsite, on the trail, or even on the sand at the beach.
The Crazy Creek Paddle Chair is available now, priced at $114.95.
